Knowu started from a simple observation: the hardest part of building something meaningful isn't the idea or the work — it's finding the right person to build it with.
Most matching platforms optimise for volume. Knowu optimises for fit. We believe that the difference between a venture that stalls and one that moves is almost always the people at the table — specifically, whether they bring genuinely complementary skills, and whether they're aligned on what they're building and why.
There are millions of people with hard-won domain expertise — retired executives, former regulators, seasoned operators — who have knowledge that could power a generation of new ventures. And there are just as many builders and solopreneurs who have the drive and technical capability to execute, but are building in the dark without the insider knowledge that changes everything.
These two groups rarely find each other. When they do, it's usually by accident. Knowu makes it deliberate.
We don't run an algorithm and serve you a feed. Every introduction on Knowu is reviewed by a human before it goes out. We read your profile. We understand what you're building and what you need. We make a considered judgement about who you should meet.
That means we're slower than a swipe-based app. It also means the people we introduce you to are worth your time.
Knowu is a small, focused team based in Singapore. We don't have a large staff, a venture-backed war chest, or a board of directors. We have conviction that this problem is worth solving, and we're building the platform we wish had existed when we needed it.
We're in early access. That means the product is evolving, the member base is intentionally small, and every person who joins right now has a direct line to the people building it. We take that seriously.
